Indian Premier League is considered one of the most biggest sports event all over world due to its reach, the money incorporated, the involvement of media and Bollywood and the sport itself i.e. Cricket. As Indians, we know how loyal and passionate we are about cricket as a sport; its above all. Watching you favorite batsman hitting outta ground and bowlers yorking amazing deliveries makes it a bliss state.
This years IPL is being considered as one of the best of all its seasons as almost half of the matches held till date have gone till the last over. Teams have been totally unpredictable. Most expensive players havn't performed, underdogs have risen from nowhere.
So here we bring out top 5 apps for Android users to have the latest updates on your devices when you are busy or at office or at some party. 'Coz you just don't want to miss the action.
The second best app, my personal favorite (would rate it above the Official IPL app), is everything you need for cricket news. All stories and scores from around the world, separate section for IPL, auto refreshing, commentary, alerts, etc. makes it one hell-of-an app. Mind you, less ads here. Slightly on the heavier side, 1.4M, but works fine on all phones.
If you are a person who likes simple, no fan-fare stuff, this may be the app for you. Not so light, 1.8 M, but offers very simple, clean layout. Not a lot to offer from the app as there is no commentary, videos, etc. But a clean layout makes it appealing.
I hope all those IPL5 fans owning an Android phone would be looking to find one fine app which they install and forget about. I would recommend Cricbuzz personally. Try installing these apps, share your reviews with us in the comments section. Follow your favorite team on mobile.

1. Official DLF IPL 2012
This app from Timesmobile ltd. is no doubt the best app for IPL 5. Pretty lightweight, just 602k, installs in no time. Gives almost everything what you would need for IPL5. Things which could have been incorporated would be alerts, commentary, less ads and a bigger font structure.3. Cricket Pro IPL 5
If you are a person who likes simple, no fan-fare stuff, this may be the app for you. Not so light, 1.8 M, but offers very simple, clean layout. Not a lot to offer from the app as there is no commentary, videos, etc. But a clean layout makes it appealing.
4. NDTV Cricket
NDTV Cricket app is a very precise on what is does, similar to something like their sports news segment. Slightly heavy, takes some time in opening up. All feeds from the website are pulled here with latest scores and other updates like photos, videos. etc. Not a big fan of this app, just because of its unexpected behavior. I do not like the layout, its too packed, makes the users feel...err. P.S. I am still waiting for it to load the content for me.
5. ESPNcricinfo
ESPNcricinfo.com, the best destination for cricket scores online has its own app. Pretty heavy, 2.9M, but loads in seconds. Excellent big icons in the menu, but I guess showing wrong flags, or may be stock flags for IPL teams. Felt a lag in vertical scrolling. Has a separate menu for IPL5, commentary, audio/videos, etc. A nice app but with too much information.
I hope all those IPL5 fans owning an Android phone would be looking to find one fine app which they install and forget about. I would recommend Cricbuzz personally. Try installing these apps, share your reviews with us in the comments section. Follow your favorite team on mobile.
